During Chinese New Year, I went hiking with my parents in a small mountain near Nei-Hu. This was the first time that I saw the wide gresses covered with green. It took my breath away.I didn't want to leave. It made me think of my trip to New Zealand, where we could run on the vast field and feed the cow.

As the sky became darker and darker, we were on our way home. I saw a blind old man sitting on a bench.When we walked past him, he said to himself "If I could see the beautiful scenery, my world would be colorful." When I heard what he said, I felt it was lucky of me to see such beautiful scenery. Until now, if I have free time, I will go there not only to relax but to trace the memory of nature.

Sherry's Diary-The Chance of 8/1‏

Yesterday I went out for fighting for my future. Unfortunately, I caught a cold the day before.I thought was a joke that gods played fun of me. However, things changed after I went to the beauty shop. At the beginning, I discussed with my stylist which style was suitable for me. Strangely, nobody had entered the shop until I finished my styling.
After that, my mom took me to 德明 to get ready for facing the professiors. As we arrived, it was still early. Then my mom and I started to fool around on the campus. After an hour, I was about to have the interview. While I was walking in, I began to feel nervous. At first, an assistant called me to come in, then I saw four teachers sitting in front of me. I behaved well at first. However, when I noticed the assistant started to record what I said, I started to talk strangely. I even said I study at 文德 Junior high school. Luckily, I corrected it without delay. To my surprise, they only asked me to introduce myself in English. After that, they all talked in Chinese. That was very sad. Because I didn't have the chance to show my English ability just as I expected.
It's really a good experience to face the professiors for the first time. I think things would be better if I had another chance. I grade eighty to my performance this time.

Good afternoon. My name is Sherry. I study in 文德girls’ high school. English is my favorite subject, so, at school, I try to get good grades in English. I spend a lot of time previewing and reviewing the lessons. I study English not just for school, but for myself. Because I’m really interested in English, I listen to English songs, and I also like English movies and magazines.

When I was a child, I didn’t do very well in every subject, but English brings me confidence. I want to be an English teacher in the future, so that I can help students like me to become confident of themselves.

I joined two English-related clubs at school. One is about English play; the other is about English poetry. At the club of English play, the teacher taught us some techniques of acting and performing, which I found very interesting. I also enjoy going to the club of English poetry. The teacher guided us to the world of poetry. Byron is my favorite poet. He is so young and talented, and his poems are very romantic.

I’ve been to Canada once and stayed there for one month. It was an exciting experience to me. I experienced great culture shock. It’s interesting to talk to people from different countries and to know about their culture.

Sherry's Dairy- become busier these days

It is not until I become a mature girl did I will realize that I still have a lot of things to learn. For example, paring fruit, ironing clothes, washing the dishes etc.While those things are easy for most people, they are still troublesome for me. One reason for this is that I have not had much experience in a normal household routine. My life seldom has large changes. In order to make my life more challenging, and avoid becoming a nerd, I have decided to help with the house work. This week, I started to help my mom to do the chores. I finally understood that it is not easy to do chores without making any mistakes.

When preparing for and taking exams, I push myself to attain a perfect score. Even though I can't get a perfect score despite my efforts, I still push myself every time.





Our classroom has become a mess not only because the College Entrance Exams have ended, but also because everyone now imagines themselves as a college student. My classmates and I are the same in this way. We are all trying to escape from life at school because it was so exhausting. Why do I get exhausted just by being a good student? Is it because I care what others think of me? I hope not. Will everyone will face such difficult times during their teenager? I keep thinking about this issue, but can't find the answer.

Now, I should learn how to be an independent girl, solving problems by myself. Only when I become a mature could I control my own life.
